I am back with another project using the same stamp as yesterday, nature's choir from Penny Black. This time I made a tag and then put it on a card. I tore the bottom off to make it a bit shorter, and then covered the hole at the top with a star sequin. I love how it all came together. When I started this I was not quite sure how it would work. Thanks again for joining me on my creative adventure. I still have two more cards to share so please check back.

Nature's Choir
Welcome to Tag Tuesday! I am so excited to get one up this week. I am sure you are all busy getting ready for Christmas, as it is quickly approaching. I just love this Penny Black stamp, nature's choir. It is very versatile. I have already made three cards with it. I love how it has a collage look. I am not always good at collage type things, but I am working on it. I did the stamping with peacock feathers distress ink. The inking around all of the edges was with evergreen bough distress ink. I love to try out new and different colors for all holidays. This combination may be a new favorite. Thanks again for stopping by on my creative adventure. See you soon.

Turquoise Crosses
I was in the mood for some new jewelry, so I made a couple of pieces. I really should have been working on items for my booth at Heart of the Lakes Antique Mall in North Webster, Indiana. I need to get lots done tomorrow, so I can stock and decorate my booth after Thanksgiving. Make sure to stop by if you are in the area, I have lots of great stocking stuffers. Most of my items are $5.00 or less, so you can get something for everyone on your list. Thanks again for joining me on my creative adventure.

Some more
Here are some more guitar pick bracelets that I made last week. I put them all in our church auction, and they were a big hit. I plan on making more of these this week for my booth. It is time to get the booth ready for the holiday shoppers. I have so much to do! Thanks again for stopping by on my creative adventure. Keep checking back for more holiday projects.

Coming right along!
Here is what I have done so far. I used glossy accents to adhere the guitar picks to the hymnal pages. After they dried, I cut them out. Next I sanded the edges and inked them up with Black Soot Distress Ink. The last step was another coat of glossy accents to seal them. Just so you do not get upset with me for cutting up this book, I assure you it was in bad shape. We actually collect old hymnals! So now onto the next step, making them into something. You will have to join me tomorrow on my creative adventure to see what they become. Thanks again for stopping by.

Fish thank you
I am back with another thank you card. I think I am about caught up on them, at least for awhile. This one was done using a piece from my drawer of odds and ends. I love the refreshing colors, it reminds me of Hawaii. It looks so inviting on a cold day like today here in Indiana. I am not ready for winter! Thanks again for joining me on my creative adventure. Please come back soon.

be thankful
Here is one of the cards that I did at my library class last week. The ladies really seem to enjoy the cards that we create. This one features the acorn blueprint set from Tim Holtz. The background is done with the small chicken wire die from Die-Namics. I cut the acorn out of cork paper and stamped it with a doily print stamp. The acorn top was cut from a velvet paper. I am not sure who the double sided paper is from, but I love it. I still have a few sheets left to use on some other projects. Thanks again for stopping by on my creative adventure!

Thanks Sew Much
This card is one that I started awhile ago and then just set it aside. I am not sure why I didn't finish it. It ended up being perfect for a friend that has done numerous sewing repairs for our family. She also taught sewing to our daughter for awhile when we were homeschooling. I forgot how much I enjoy making sewing themed cards. I have some new dies I haven't used yet that I might need to get out soon and do another sewing theme week. Thanks again for stopping by on my creative adventure.

Windmill
I am back with another special thank you for a great couple. I had so much fun embossing this wooden windmill to look like metal. I love this corn die, especially when it's done in the green recycled packing paper. I am working on some more thank you and birthday cards, so please visit again soon. Thanks for stopping with me on my creative adventure.

Musical Thanks
I had so much fun creating this card! It was made for a very special couple that blessed us greatly. Not often do I create a card specifically with someone in mind, so this was a real treat. I have a few more cards to make thanking some other special people, so please continue with me on my creative adventure.

Tapes
Tape and more tape! I seem to have plenty, yet never quite the right one that I need. I just keep buying more. I have outgrown numerous spots to keep it, as was the case again today. I had another batch of it, but no room. I finally decided to put it all in these awesome drawers I still had empty. I guess it was meant to be as they all fit. I have been busy all day cleaning up my studio, so it is off to bed I go. I have many new products and ideas to try out in the coming weeks ahead. Please continue to join me on my creative adventure.

This was our make & take today at Stamp-N-Toys. Everyone really seemed to enjoy it.
Here is a closer look at the leaves.
This was my original tag, but this morning I made a few changes to it. Well it has been a long day and I need to get some rest. Thanks so much for joining me on my creative adventure today.

Fall Cornucopia
I am back today with another Stacy Stamp. I just love this cornucopia. I colored it with distress markers and a water brush. I then added some grasses out of green recycled packing papers and card stock. My new favorite die is the wheat by Impression Obsession, I cut them out of cork. This all came together very quickly, with a great fall feel to it. I hope you have time to do a few more fall projects before the mad holiday rush. I will be doing a few more at the North Webster Library this Thursday at 10:00 a.m. Feel free to join in the fun for only $7.00. I will then head to Stamp-N-Toys for a make & take tag for only $2.00. Of course it is free if you spend over $20.00. I hope to see you soon! Thanks again for joining me on my creative adventure.
Darling Duck
I am so excited to be back on my blog! My excuse is the same old lame one of just being too busy. I do miss the every day creative adventure. I need it for myself, but often life just pulls me so many different directions that I can not get it all done no matter how hard I may try. So enough of all that! My card here today is done using the duck stamp from Stacy Stamps. We had Stacy in our store a few weeks ago and I was inspired to work with some of her older stamps that I did not have yet. I love realistic images, but hate to color them. I am just not patient when it comes to that. Anyways I am always trying to figure out quick and easy ways to give some color without to much time and effort. This was done using my favorite technique for coloring. It is just scribble some distress marker onto your craft mat and pick it up with a water brush. It is so easy and gives you the look of watercolor painting, which I love! If I was a fine artist that would be my medium of choice. The background is just a Darice embossing folder with some distress ink added to the raised areas. I also added some dimension with various grass dies from Memory Box and Impression Obsession. Well that is all for now. Thanks so much for returning with me on my creative adventure!

Art journal
I started an art journal a couple of weeks ago. I thought it would be nice to branch out and try something new. I have not decided yet if this is going to be a project that I will stick with. I guess I will just play around for awhile and see where it leads me.
It is styled more like a smash book. I hope to fill it with a variety of items, techniques, and possibly even some photos. Just a reminder that Thursday is make & take at Stamp-N-Toys in North Webster. If you are in the area between 10:30-7:00, please stop in to see us. Jan has a great fall themed card to make for only $2.00. As always, spend $20 or more and it's free! I can't wait! Thanks again for joining me on my creative adventure, see you soon.

Bookmark
I know it is Tag Tuesday, but I have a bookmark to share instead. This stack of books was last weeks Unity stamp of the week. I just fell in love with it immediately. I also knew who I was going to use it for. A good friend of mine absolutely loves to read, and to do it old school, not electronically. I whipped this up and gave it to her the next day. She really seemed to like it, and I loved making it. Off to bed I go! Thanks again for sharing in my creative adventure.

18 Year Anniversary
I just got back from a day trip that my husband planned for our anniversary today. It was so nice to get away. Well luckily I got this done last night. I started it about a week ago, but was having trouble getting some free time to finish it. I am pleased with how it all came together. My husband really seemed to like it, which is good, since it is for him. It is getting late so I need to get some sleep. Thanks again for stopping by on my creative adventure.

Mini distress ink organization
I thought today I would do something different. It includes showing a small area of my workroom, which I love. For those of you that know me, know how much I love all sorts of vintage pieces. I have been collecting these drawers for quite awhile now. I use them for all sorts of goodies. I wanted somewhere to store all of my new mini distress inks. I recently decided that I wanted each ink color to have its own applicators. So this was becoming tricky to find something to keep them all together. I decided to empty one of these drawers to see if by any chance they would work. They did! First I had to find new homes for all of the other items that were stored in all of these. I finally got everything put back together, and I am very pleased with it. I find that it works well for me. It may not be for everyone, but it could spark some ideas. I hope maybe it does for you, as I know storage and organization is a problem for so many of us crafters.

Soccer Earrings
Well I was very busy again today! I decided to show some earrings that I made to wear at my daughter's soccer games. The first pair shows off her number, 5. This also has a bright green color to them. The second pair has a deeper green, which is the more traditional shade for her school colors of green and gold. This sport is keeping our family extremely busy! This week she has 3 games, with 2 of them being about 45 minutes away. The good thing is, she loves it. I am heading off to bed. Thanks so much for joining me on another creative adventure. See you soon.

Birds on a Wire
I ran out of time to work on anything today, so I pulled this tag out. I did it a few weeks back, but never posted it. I knew it would not photograph well. It has a beautiful sheen to it from an acrylic paint I got from the art section of Meijer. You can see the faint lines in the background from the index card that the tag was cut from. The birds on the wire is a Spellbinder die, while I believe the bird at the bottom is a Memory Box one. The multiple feathers are an Impression Obsession stamp, the nest is a Tim Holtz stamp. It looks bare without any ribbon or fibers at the top, I will have to add some later. Well I really need to get to bed, so thanks again for stopping by on my creative adventure.

Hive been missing you
Here is another version. I think they both turned out great, but which is your favorite? The adorable bee girl is by C.C.Designs. The background is one of my favorite Tim Holtz stencils, honeycomb. The sentiment is from a set by Gina Marie Stamps. It has a nice assortment of the cute " bee" sayings, as well as the tiny buzzing bee. The fun part was coloring everything with the Wink of Stella brush pens. If you have not tried these yet, you really should. They are so versatile and come in 16 colors. The best part is they have awesome shimmer to them and they dry almost instantly. Thanks so much for stopping by and joining me on my creative adventure.

Happiness is
Well I made it back today! I am so happy to be doing Tag Tuesday exclusively using Unity stamps. I absolutely love this company. I recently joined their stamp of the week club. Someone just asked if I had made anything with any of them yet. I decided I better do something, so here it is. I even incorporated three of them into this one project!
I first stamped the owl with potting soil archival ink, and then stamped the pumpkins slightly overlapping the other. I used the same ink, which if you work fast, you can clear emboss with it like I did.
I stamped and embossed this guy another time. Then I colored him with Wink of Stella brush pens by Zig. It is hard to see in the picture, but this color has a hint of shimmer. It is so beautiful up close. We just got these in at Stamp-N-Toys, and I am already addicted to them.
Next I colored the pumpkins.
I even used the silver to add the shadow.
The owl needed some big google eyes!
I added foam adhesive behind him to make him really stand out.
I didn't want much for embellishment. I decided on a strip of doodlebug leaf print washi tape, with a small green rhinestone.
I hadn't decided on a verse or sentiment when I started, but this one quickly stood out.
