Easter Basket

I have had so much fun doing Easter cards this year! It could be all the great new products, or the revamping of old ones. Either way I tried so many "new" things. That is what I love, there is always something to try out whether it is new or just new to you. Well I need to get to bed. Stamp-N-Toys opens at 9:00 a.m. tomorrow morning, stop in if you are in the area. Remember that Christ is Risen! Have a very Happy Easter!

Little Chick

Somehow I forgot to post this cute chick last night. I had a friend over and we were just playing around with a variety of products. I love just sitting down and creating, especially with someone. I think we both enjoyed ourselves, and learned a few things. Well that is all for now. See you soon!

Risen Indeed!

I just found these awesome vintage cross bookmarks at the local antique mall. I was so excited!

I thought I would take some pictures of what my work area looks like during the creative process. I pull a variety of items that go together. Often I do not use hardly anything that I thought I might.

Here are some of the stamps that I got out to see what might work.

I decided to use this Stacy stamp that looks like a lace doily. I just clear embossed it onto cream card stock.

I then rubbed antique linen distress ink all over it. It looks pretty realistic!

Another shot of the work area during the process.

I die cut this flourish out of olive green paper. Next I stamped Happy Easter in the corner. It is a bit crooked, but I have a plan to " fix" it.

Now time to put the cross on, I used pop dots.

I added a little bow.

I put a couple of purple rhinestones to hopefully disguise my stamping mistake.

It is all finished. I love how it turned out. I hope you like it too. Thanks again for sharing in my creative adventure. Please continue to check back. We still have a few openings for class this Friday at Stamp-N-Toys. For $10.00 you get to make 3 great cards. Call Jan now to sign up.

Hallelujah!

I am having "sew" much fun with the sew easy templates. The oval around the cross is another pattern from the flourish set. I also love these new Prickley Pear stamps. We carry these at Stamp-N-Toys. It is not too late to get a few more Easter cards or projects done. Why not stop by and see what we still have in stock for the holiday! As always thanks for stopping by and message me with any questions.

Sweet Bunnies

I will be showcasing some sweet Easter cards this week. Please continue to check back and see what I come up with. For today I used the Flourish sew easy template by We R Memory Keepers. I am really enjoying these templates. It is quick and easy sewing for those that like the look of stitching, but are not seasoned sewers. Grab one and give it a try! I still have a variety of new items to try out, so I will be back soon. Thanks for stopping by!

Joyous Easter

I am in love with today's card. I hope you like it too!

I began with the packaging that one of my new dies came in.

I cut a bunch of grass out. Sorry I am not sure of company that it came from, I believe it could be Memory Box.

This is it so far.

I went ahead and cut more grass from a lovely green shimmer paper.

Next I put a piece of copy paper covered with adhesive behind. This is called inlay die-cut technique.

Now press one of the green grass into the cut out. This makes it flat with the paper.

The other two pieces of grass I only stuck down the bottoms of them.

Now I took my new La La Land gear border die and cut it out.

Here it is so far.

Again put an adhesive covered piece of copy paper behind it.

Place another die-cut gear border in. I used silver.

Guess what? I decided I wanted this purple shimmer paper instead.

I filled in with the silver paper hearts, etc.

I cut out some Poppy Stamps Bunny Buddies. The paper is a brown with purple glitter in it.

I punched some eggs with my trusty old egg punch from EK Success. I used some cream and silver glitter paper. I also added some other grass borders.

I stamped a sentiment and added the bunnies. This is pretty much how I envisioned it in my head, I just was not sure how I was going to go about achieving it. I guess it worked out. I love it when that happens, don't you? Thanks again for stopping by on my creative adventure. See you real soon!

Easter card class

These are the three cards that I taught last Thursday at the North Webster Library. Everyone really seemed to enjoy them. I went with very springy colors, which I don't use that often. It is always good to go out of your comfort zone once in awhile. If you have any questions let me know.

Psalms 107:1

It was still sunny today, not as warm though. I know eventually it will stick around, right? Today is Tag Tuesday, and this is what I created. It includes one of my favorite Bible verses. I love this Tim Holtz Rays stencil. The cross is by Sizzix. I hope this inspires you. I am getting geared up for some Easter creations, so please keep checking back.
