Sew What?

I did not get a chance to work on anything today, but I had this card from last week that I did not get to share. This was done using the same doily stencil and dylusions spray that the others were. I made a bunch of different backgrounds all at once. I like to do that so I have many to choose from. The focal point was done using Our Daily Bread antique label designs with the coordinating Spellbinders dies. The words are from Unity Stamps. I think the button border die is from Die-Namics. Thanks again for sharing in my creative adventures, stop back soon.

Birds!

I know today is supposed to be Tag Tuesday, but I kept thinking it was Monday all day. So a card it is.

This is a practice with the dylusions spray I was using last week. I have a pile of assorted pieces left over from playing around.

We just got this stencil in at Stamp-N-Toys and I really wanted to use it. I am so loving any and all stencils!

Deciding where to place it.

Ink it up.

Next I inked all over with distress ink.

I have been waiting anxiously for this Tim Holtz stamp set. I love anything with feathers these days, and I have always liked birds.

I chose to use the nest, it is so realistic.

I actually clear embossed it, but it is hard to tell from the picture.

I am not sure, but this could be a memory box die.

I am going to cut these out up here so that I can use the inlay technique.

I also cut out some from brown card stock.

I often use this great tool when putting tiny pieces where I want them.

Again I am not sure what company this die comes from. I cut it out of brown card stock and turquoise mulberry paper. Now I am going to add some dimension.

Two layers of dimension.

Here is a close-up.

I really love how this turned out! I hope you do too. I just really enjoy new products. If you are in the area be sure to stop by Stamp-N-Toys to check some of them out. Thanks again for stopping by and please return soon.

sew sorry

Today I am again using the turquoise /blue with olive green color combo. Again the background was done with the Kaisercraft doily stencil. The same campso teal dylusions ink spray was used. The dressmaker form is a Sizzix mover and shaper die by Tim Holtz. I cut one out of chipboard, then one out of fabric. The oval pearls are some cheap earrings that I took apart. The sentiment is another Unity stamp. Well I hope this gives you some inspiration. Thanks again for stopping by and please come back soon.

Love every inch of you...

I am back with another variation on the color combo I used yesterday. This one is more turquoise with olive green, with a bit of blue. I love it! I used a Kaisercraft doily stencil for the background with campso teal dylusions ink spray. The tape measure is from the modern dressmaker stencil by Memory Box, with salty ocean distress ink. The stencil also includes the dressmaker stands. They are done in salty ocean and peeled paint distress inks. The other two are Memory Box dies done with a variety of washi tapes. The sentiment is a Unity stamp. This was so much fun to create! I hope you like it too. Thanks for stopping by and please come again.

thinking of you

Well I am making it back 2 days in a row, it feels good! Today I am using my new favorite color combo, blue or turquoise with olive green. I am working on even more with these colors for next time. I hope you enjoy.

I began with these trims that were my inspiration for today.

I am even using part of the packaging.

Here are the focal point products that I decided to use.

I even found some scrap pattern paper in the colors.

I added a simple sentiment.

I had to sand up the packaging to get rid of some of the shine, and so it would take some ink.

It is coming along.

First some green.

Now some blue.

Now adhere it down to the card back.

Next I added some of the trim with light blue pearl center brads.

If you have not tried this combination together yet, why not give it a go? Make sure to stop back tomorrow to see more of these great colors. Again, thanks for sharing in my creative adventures.

Bird Banner

It is Tag Tuesday! Sorry I had to drop off again for awhile. I finally got going on Spring cleaning and needed to keep it up. I am far from done, but I am making some headway. I am also going to have some painting done. So much to do!

I began with this new doily stencil, I have been anxiously awaiting for it to come in at Stamp-N-Toys.

I used antique linen distress ink over the entire tag.

Here it is so far.

Another new stencil, speckles. I used weathered wood distress ink.

Next I used an older stencil, splatters, with tea dye distress ink.

I rubbed some tea dye all over the rest of the tag.

I just got this new in'spire by Spellbinders die. It is called Bird Banner.

I cut these great feathers out of some used color catchers.

They needed some color so I started with antique linen distress stain.

Next I spritzed them with terra cotta antiquing solution. I then sprayed them with water. After drying them I rubbed on some weathered wood distress ink.

Add some foam pop dots and put it all together. Stamp a sentiment and tie on some ribbon. This was a fairly quick tag. I just love layering stencils. It gives a lot of depth, without bulk. I have even more new items I can hardly wait to try out! I will try to post more often, I feel somewhat lost when I go so many days not creating. Please continue to check back and join me on my creative adventures.

dream and hello flower

Welcome back for Tag Tuesday. Sorry I have been missing again. I have been trying hard to catch up on so many things! I am slowly getting there. Anyways, thanks for your patience.

I am showing two different, yet similar tags. Customers had the chance to make one of these at the last make & take at Stamp-N-Toys. A lot of the products used for these came from the previous make & take we did the week before.

Here is a close up of the other tag. It uses a verse stamp instead of the hello stitched word. There is also an added small frame behind the flowers. This Thursday is another make & take at Stamp-N-Toys in North Webster, Indiana. If you are in the area between 10:30-7:00, please stop in. It is only $2.00 or free if you spend over $20.00.

Flower Birthday

I thought I would share this make & take that I taught at Stamp-N-Toys a couple of weeks ago. I used the inlay die technique. I used this great frame die from Impression Obsession. The flower stamp is a Studio 490 from Stampers Anonymous. The verse stamp is from Northwoods. As always, please message me with any questions. Thanks again for stopping by! See you soon.

You Rock!

It is Tag Tuesday! I just love tags, there are so many uses for them. This one is for my husband to take to work and hang up. His band, United, just won the Kosciusko County Cancer Care Fund Battle of the Bands. They were awesome! I am so very proud of all of them.

I already gave this to him, he loved it!

I began with one of my new stencils from Memory Box, the stars are great! I then got out my metallic silver embossing paste.

Tape the stencil down, then cover it with the paste.

Pull the stencil up to see all of the stars.

This is one of my new impression obsession stamps. I used black ink, then covered it with clear embossing powder. I was not sure which color of metallic paper I wanted it on, so I did it on charcoal and eggplant.

After the paste was about half dry (about 10 minutes or so) I took a dry cloth and dabbed it in the paste to give it some more texture.

I used silver embossing powder for this new stamp.

I cut out part of the top.

Next I hooked the previous piece to the bottom of the tag. I had cut off the bottom of the tag that did not get any of the paste on it.

Here it is from the front.

I added the silhouette stamped image that I cut out.

I just finished it off with a piece of silver and black ribbon. I hope you enjoyed this tag. I hope it inspires you to try out some new items. Thanks again for stopping by, please come again!
