Valentine Tag

This is my creation for Tag Tuesday. It is so sweet!

This is the card that I started with. It is a small one, perfect for a tag.

This is a Great Impression stamp. I took the rubber off of the block so I could tweek it.

I cut the stamp into two.

Next I stamped the hearts around the tag using Versamark. Then I sprinkled it all with gold embossing powder.

Just some close-ups of the embossed areas.

I decided to add some more hearts, even though most will not be seen.

I took a clear wax crayon and colored some of the hearts. This will resist the color in the next step. 

I took barn red Distress Stain and put it all over the entire tag.

Then I rubbed a baby wipe over everything, this takes the stain off of the resist areas.

I added some paper to the back of the card to make it sturdier. Then I put 3-D glue dots on it to attach it to the tag.

I am so in love with this La-La Land Stamps die. I cut it out in gold and purple.

To attach the small Purple Hearts I used pop dots cut into thin pieces. This will also give it dimension at the same time.

It is really coming along.

Here are some more close-ups of the details. I also went around the edges of the tag and mini card with a Krylon gold pen.
