Foxy Valentine

This little guy is so darn adorable! I have been really wanting to do something with him and Valentine's Day is quickly approaching. I had to use it now!

I began with a light cream color card stock. I wanted a sky color for the background, so I used stormy sky distress ink.

Next I used an embossing folder that had a grassy look to it.

I wanted a bit of color added to the grasses. I got out these metallic rub-ons. I have not used them in awhile. I am not sure why, whenever I use them I am so pleased. I really should use them more often.

This is what it looked like after I added the color.

Now for this adorable Unity Stamp Company stamp.

I stamped him and then clear embossed it. Archival ink is not really for embossing, but if you are quick enough, it does work.

Then I cut him out.

Well obviously this is not what I began with. The colors just were not working out, so I changed. This little guy is much better for this project. I have an idea for the other one though.

This banner is a Spellbinders die.

Here are a few close-ups.

Almost finished, he just needs a card back.

All finished! I am so pleased with him.

This is the other little guy. I had made the rest of this card back a long while ago. It was just sitting around waiting for the perfect finishing touch. I think he is just what it needed.

A close-up of the fox among the tree trunk and mushrooms. It is late, and I have to get to Stamp-N-Toys in the morning. It is make-and-take day. Stop by anytime between 10:30 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. to make a tag with me. Thanks and see you soon!
