Honey Bee

Well I hope everyone enjoyed the sun while we had it. Today has been so dreary and wet here. The sunny color of this card cheered me up a bit.

Again I took a trial card back from my drawer. I just added a bit of gathered twigs Distress Ink to pull it together.

I actually just found this great book at Alley Cats Antiques on Tuesday. I bought it for the cool pictures, etc. in it. It has a section on bees and honey!

This is the back cover on the right. The other one is the color copy I did on cream card stock.

I carefully tore around the part that I wanted to use. I inked it up a bit with wild honey.

Just a close-up.

This Great Impressions stamp is perfect to add to the background.

I ended up clear embossing the flowers.

I die cut this bee hive. I think it may be a Memory Box die.

Then I inked it up.

I cut out this Spellbinders flourish from color core card stock.

Then I sanded it gently to bring out some of the other color.

Next I put it all together.

A close-up of the hive.

I am excited to use some more images from the Orange book, as well as a few others I got at the same time. Make sure to buzz back by again tomorrow for one more busy bee project. Thanks so much for joining me on another creative adventure.
